If you've got questions, hopefully you'll find some help here... If not, please feel free to get in touch via email.
What is this place?
I run an animated Christmas light show, and post photos and video to social media when it's running. Unfortunately, I know a lot of people who aren't local to me, who would love to find a similar display nearby. While I know of a few displays run by some lovely people, there was no directory I could point them at (for the UK, at least). This is an attempt to solve that problem.
What's a "Verified" Show?
These are shows we definitely know are going ahead, and are well worth a visit. These shows haven't paid for any kind of special treatment or preferential placement.
If your own show is missing verified status, and you feel that's unfair (and you've checked the notes on the "Got a Show" page), drop us a line at the contacts below and we'll see what we can work out.
Can I add my show?
I'd really appreciate it - The "Got a Show?" page is your starting point.
Can I add someone else's show?
I'd really prefer you didn't - If you know someone who runs a show, please point them in this direction and we'd love to have them. It just makes it easier in terms of making sure information is up to date, and letting me contact them in the event of a problem. Also, holding data on other people gets sketchy enough as it is, and if they haven't explicitly handed me the information, I'm not entirely sure where it leaves me legally.
Are you doing anything sketchy with my location/personal data?
This is entirely a personal project - I've no interest in commercialising your data, or making money off this thing. It's free to list shows, and to free to find them.
We store no information on individual users on our site. If you'd like to remove all your show data from our platform, you can find a "Delete My Show" button on the show details page or drop me an email, and we'll get it taken care of for you.
Where can I get better support than this?
We've got a Discord instance that you can come find some help on... Email works too.
This page uses data from OpenStreetMap, and owes a lot to a host of open source projects. Please give me a shout if you'd like more details.
